White Castle Is Now Serving Even Smaller Burgers?
White Castle, infamous for its yummy sliders, now comes in tiny little packages that you can enjoy in one bite - Welcome Castle Bites.
Ahhh, White Castle. It’s iconic, it’s still cool (in that hip, underground way) and it seems we can’t get enough of it. From being featured in pop culture to showing up at the best party you’ve ever been to, it seems we can’t let go of our delish little burgers! And with the recent additions to its 1921 menu of burgers, it seems we are enjoying a bit of a White Castle roller coaster we don’t want to get off!
More White Castle, Please!
As more people have learned to embrace their downtime, spend more time working from home, and just have learned to love life a little bit more (thanks again, COVID!), we are indulging when we want. And, what’s more perfect than a tiny little White Castle burger rolled up in a flaky crispy outside that you can just pop in your mouth?
Nothing. Nothing is more perfect than this. Folks, we have arrived at Nirvana.
According to Food & Wine, “Castle Bites” will be hitting your local frozen food aisle where you can also get, well, anything you want there–including a new breakfast pizza with, well, breakfast on it. Feels like those who don’t like to cook, are in luck! We are all just living the dream now!
Dare You To Stop At One
Even though many outlets have reported that due to inflation, consumers are getting a lot less in their packaging than they were used to, no one is upset with this “shrink down.” Nothing could be better than 100% real beef with onions rolled into one little bite. Dare you to stop at one. Shrinkflation could be at work here, but in this case, it’s cause for a celebration.
White Castle is infamous for using the word “Crave.” There are Crave Boxes (boxes of burgers); a “Crave Central” where you can join other “Cravers” in their zest for the brand; A “House of Crave” which is their online store where you can purchase anything from shirts to socks. There was once a Crave music fest in 2015. Maybe it will come back? Who knows.
People love to crave something. That feeling of wanting something so badly you can’t stop thinking about it. And, no matter what you have you still need that ONE THING. Nothing else will do. It’s a feeling intrinsic to White Castle. And the brand–so self-aware–knows it.
A Brand We Flip Over
While building a brand that seems fun–even silly at times–has been a work in progress since 1921 (hence the name of the 1921 line of burgers), it’s no small feat that the company has evolved and stayed with the times. This includes technology.
White Castle jumped on the robot bandwagon almost a year ago by implementing “Flippy” in a number of their restaurants. Flippy makes french fries and keeps them coming. Crispy and delicious, White Castle wants you to walk away with your french fries fast and your cravings, squashed.
Until you get another craving. Then you can simply snack at home. White Castle now has White Castle frozen Sliders, Chicken Rings, and, now, Castle Bites. And one of those, you can’t get in the restaurant. So, tonight, curl up and enjoy some White Castle “me time.”
