Exclusive: DC Theme Park In The Works
DC fans rejoice! A dedicated DC theme park is officially in the works.
With word spreading that Disney is officially planning to open up a dedicated Marvel theme park, it was only a matter of time before Warner Brothers stepped in to give the house of mouse of run for its money with its band of DC heroes. Back in 2018 Warner Brothers officially opened up a theme park in Abu Dhabi featuring two favorite cities from the DC universe – Gotham and Metropolis. Now, according to our trusted and proven source, Warner Brothers is planning to bring that same magic to the United States by building a dedicated DC theme park.
Thus far, little is known about the upcoming DC theme park. However, our source did reveal that the park will feature the Hall of Justice as one of its main attractions. Judging by the way the Justice League’s home base looks in Abu Dhabi, DC fans have a lot to look forward to. Abu Dhabi’s Hall Of Justice is an utterly stunning replica that looks as though it was plucked right from the pages of the comic books it first appeared in. The immense structure is lined with astutely detailed bronze statues of all of the Justice League’s titular heroes. Take a look at the spectacular photos one fan took after visiting the Abu Dhabi park. Just viewing those photos will surely cause any DC fan to gawk in both amazement and excitement over the fact that a similar attraction is slated to open up here in the US.
As of now, the Hall of Justice is the only known detail regarding what will be featured inside the new DC theme park. However, given that the Hall of Justice is one of Metropolis’ most iconic and revered buildings it’s logical to think that the park will have a dedicated Metropolis section. Should the theoretical Metropolis be similar to the version inside Abu Dhabi’s DC theme park, fans can likely expect immersive attractions and thrilling rides featuring heroes such as Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, Flash, and Green Lantern. For instance, one attraction inside the Metropolis in Abu Dhabi lets participants fight alongside Superman, Batman, and Wonder Woman via a fully-integrating 5D experience as they partake epic battle of good versus evil.
Moreover, considering that Gotham city can also be found inside Abu Dhabi’s DC theme park, it’s not out of the realm of possibility to think that the upcoming park may also feature Batman’s hometown. Ultimately, though, nothing other than the inclusion of a Hall of Justice is confirmed as of yet. At this point, it is even unclear as to where the park will be located. Although, considering that there are rumors circulating that Disney may be leaving Florida it would be interesting to see the DC theme park wind up there. Regardless of where the park ends up being built, the news certainly provides a reason for DC fans to get excited.
In the meantime, while fans eagerly await more details about the upcoming DC theme park to emerge, they can indulge in Robert Pattinson’s performance in The Batman (2022) which is now viewable on HBO Max. Other soon-to-be-released DC titles include Black Adam, Shazam! Fury of The Gods, Batgirl, Aquaman and The Lost Kingdom, and The Flash.
