The most popular artificial intelligence platform on the market, ChatGPT, already has an upgrade called GPT-4. As many people are just learning that artificial intelligence is not just something from a sci-fi film and not it won’t infiltrate your house and mind, it seems like OpenAI, the makers of ChatGPT, is working quickly.

The premium version of ChatGPT, called GPT-4 was launched this week and with this new upgrade comes many new functions. The upgraded artificial intelligence robot can now form longer sections of text and respond when shown different images. This upgrade is designed to address the significant pitfalls people have seen in the original ChatGPT.

This new version is thought to be smarter than the original version as it has been trained to create text independently through copious amounts of training. This training includes large language modeling, which involves feeding the robot a large amount of information from the internet, where it can then spot patterns and learn to reproduce a particular style.

The original ChatGPT, which was launched late last year, has generated a high amount of interest. It can complete various tasks, including children’s homework and writing songs. While it is astounding that this level of technology is available, it is not always correct or reliable.

ChatGPT is free but can be glitchy when a lot of users are on the platform at the same time. To combat this, OpenAI released ChatGPT plus for a cost of $20 a month. Now the new GPT-4 has been released, there is a waiting list that customers can sign up for as it is not clear how much it will cost to avail of its services.

GPT-4 is more reliable at completing complex tasks than any other version of artificial intelligence that Open AI has released before. It is creative and can handle a range of complex instructions. It can input pictures as well as text independently. It gives more factually correct responses, and users can set a specific tone or style.

While large language artificial intelligence can develop impressive results. Fundamentally, it does not know anything; it is just able to see patterns in a piece of information and can put together words in a statically probable way.

It can help complete tasks quickly and efficiently, but there is a danger of biases, stereotypes, and negative sentiments with these types of artificial intelligence. Open AI knows that these problems exist in their product, but they are happy with how they have combatted these issues on GPT-4.

OpenAI has received a massive boost in its partnership with Microsoft. Microsoft is now using GPT technology in their search engine, Bing. Bing has always played second fiddle to Google, but such a powerful partnership as this will definitely shake things up.

Google has also developed its own artificial intelligence platform called Bard, but it is still in the testing phase before it can be officially launched. While artificial intelligence came into our lives with a bang, it shows no signs of leaving anytime soon, with many leading technology companies developing their own version for us to use.
