With many of our retail and media companies offering subscription services as a part of their business model, it is easy to lose track of all the perks that come with each of those subscriptions. One perk that most Amazon Prime members miss out on is periodically throughout the year, there are free Amazon games that you can snag at no extra cost. In the past, they would release them all at the same time, but they have instituted a change for this next release.

They released these games individually throughout the month of February. In celebration of black history month, all the games were developed by black game creators, and each Friday when they are released, they will highlight the developers and dig into the details of how the projects were created by them. According to Forbes, “It’s great to see Amazon doing a bit more with the program by highlighting the developers behind the games, as well as titles from black creators. Here’s hoping the company finds more ways to build out Free Games with Prime in the coming months.”

Beginning on February 2, Amazon Prime kicked it off with the free release of The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind GOTY Edition and Onsen Master. The Elder Scrolls game consists of players developing their own characters and exploring this open-world format to find the source of a great evil that plagues Morrowind, with its content being an expansion from Bloodmoon and Tribunal. In Onsen, master players will attempt to create ingredients using the game’s natural resources in order to match various ailments afflicting the people of the island of Izajima.

On February 9, Aerial_Knight’s Never Yield, and Divine Knockout became available at no cost. In Areial_Knight’s Never Yield, which is set in a futuristic Tokyo, players will be in the role of Wally who is desperate to escape from the futuristic urban wasteland with his family’s stolen treasure but on the way, he needs to expose his enemies and battle to find his way home. The game Divine Knockout has you become a mighty god of a myth that is tasked with taking out of all your friends in three separate dimensions in order to reign supreme in this world.

The games released on February 16 were One Hand Clapping and BATS: Bloodsucker Anti-Terror Squad. When playing a game of One Hand Clapping, the player utilizes their phone’s microphone to hum and sing along to music in order to solve puzzles which will have them discover the power of their own voice. In a game of BATS: Bloodsucking Terror Squad, the players are tasked with rescuing their friends from Scorpion Supreme in an arcade-style bloodbath-slasher-shooter game that rewards precision play and pixel-perfect timing.

Three games will be released for Amazon Prime members on the last Friday of the month, February 23, and they are Space Crew: Legendary Edition, Tunche, and Space Warlord Organ Trading Simulator. In Space Crew: Legendary Edition, the player acts as the captain of a United Defense Force Starship that requires you to recruit and train your crew members while customizing your starship to the specifications you desire. This is done while you simultaneously use your ship to defend your world from the extra-terrestrial threat referred to as Phasmids.

While playing the game Tunche, you are placed in a beautiful hand-drawn landscape with Rouge-like elements of the Amazon rainforest. You can choose from any of five unique characters, and you can team up with your friends to restore peace to the area from threats all about. In Space Warlord Organ Trading Simulator, you will need to navigate the dangerous black market organ industry. You will meet nefarious individuals and vampire leech organs as you protect the cargo goods from their onslaught of attacks.
