Amazon Clinic will soon be available to folks looking for a convenient way to treat common ailments. Amazon Clinic is a message-based service that provides affordable virtual care options. The service will be available in 32 states and be open to treat more than 20 common health conditions.

Amazon is stepping up its game and providing immediate and accessible health care for those in need. The company currently operates Amazon Pharmacy, which delivers medication to doorsteps in as little as two days. Amazon care is another health-based program that the company is adding to its growing services.

In modern times, more and more people are looking for fast, easy, and convenient service for various needs. Amazon Clinic will soon be available to provide assistance for a variety of common health conditions that can be addressed and communicated virtually. Some of the conditions available for virtual treatment include birth control, allergies, eyelash growth, and more.

Amazon Clinic differs from other virtual services as it is not video call based. Through Amazon Clinic, customers interested in health services can look through a network of qualified providers to find the one that best meets their needs. Amazon has gone through extensive checks to ensure that only the top providers will be available in the network to choose from.

The first thing someone using Amazon Clinic needs to do is select the medical condition they want to treat and then select a provider for the network of qualified providers. After selecting a condition to treat and a telehealth provider, a short form of questions will need to be filled out. All of this is done on a secure portal that can be accessed anytime and anywhere.

Once the Amazon Clinic user has completed the entire patient intake through the messaged-based portal, the provider will send a treatment plan specific to the patient through the portal. Additionally, the provider will prescribe any necessary prescriptions and have them sent to the pharmacy of choice. All of this can be done at the convenience of the person needing service and medical treatment.

If virtual care isn’t an option through Amazon Clinic, the potential will be notified before they even choose a provider. Whether it’s through Amazon Clinic or not, the best possible care for the client seeking medical care is the number one priority. Amazon Clinic is all about giving people the power and courage to take their health into their own hands by offering convenient care and upfront care, communication, and pricing.

Currently, Amazon Clinic does not accept insurance, but if prescriptions are needed, insurance can be utilized to pay for those. Though insurance is not accepted, Amazon Clinic is FSA and HAS eligible.  Consultation cost will vary depending on which provider is selected and generally includes two weeks of follow-up communication through the portal.

The convenience of Amazon Clinic makes this an ideal service for those who know what medical conditions they need to be treated. This is also an ideal service for those looking for treatment for their medical conditions in as soon as a few hours versus a matter of days. As this service is launched and continues to develop, it will become more widely available.
