Miller Lite, known as the champagne of beers, is renowned for its refreshing taste at a relatively low cost. But in a strange turn of events, the company will now provide its signature brew in a squeezable bottle. This new product, called “Beer Drops,” will allow a person to inject Miller-Light flavoring into other beverages. This Inception-influenced beer product is Miller Light’s latest campaign and has already got consumers enraptured with this innovative, unusual idea.

Miller Light’s Beer Drops will be released on National Beer Day, April 7th. The flavor enhancer is not necessarily for Miller Light products but for any light beer lacking taste and depth. If the light beer you’re sipping on tastes too much like water, Beer Drops are intended to enhance the beer with a few squirts. The beer company says just a tiny squeeze of this product will turn an ordinary light beer into a “fine pilsner.”

Though Beer Drops is a legitimate product, the minds behind this Miller Lite product say its intentions are both practical and humorous. Global VP Sofia Colucci said that Beer Drops is a “fun yet competitive” campaign to show consumers what sets the beer brand apart from their associates. Colucci added that the company’s success has a lot to do with maintaining the refreshing taste of their original beers. This product adds another way to get that classic Miller Lite taste in a beverage of lesser quality.

Though having an official release tomorrow on National Beer Day, Beer Drops have already been selling this morning. A quiet release was reported this morning at 9 am ET, demonstrating Miller Lite’s eagerness to get the product out on the market. For $4.07, a nod to the beer holiday’s calendar date, Beer Drops can be purchased from the company’s website and shipped right to your door. Though it’s not physically an alcoholic beverage, you still must be 21 years of age or older to purchase Beer Drops from the website.

Other beverage companies have had similarly wacky ideas to Miller Lite’s Beer Drops. Last month, Coors Light had a wild idea to distribute its signature beverage in candy form. Coors Light flavored lollipops, in a six-pack formation, were released to reasonable success. The gimmick of beer-flavored lollipops was ushered in at the beginning of March Madness, an intentional plan from the beverage company. Coors Light elaborated on their candy campaign, referring to certain studies that prove sucking on candy can relieve stress. Since there’s heightened tension for sports fans watching March Madness, Coors Light wanted to gift them lollipops to calm those anxieties.

Coors Light’s Chillollipops was released at the start of March Madness and will be available throughout the NCAA tournament. Like Miller Light, the silliness and inventive properties of the product have sparked immense conversation online.

Miller Light’s Beer Drops are the perfect accentuation to that watered-down beverage accompanying many game-day celebrations. If you ever find yourself stuck in a situation with a lackluster beer, a few squeezes of this product will add that champagne taste instantly.
