Get ready to tap into your inner child and restart (or expand) your toy selection. McDonald’s recently announced news of a brand new set of Happy Meal toys. And these are specifically designed for adults.

In a brilliant marketing move, the beloved fast food chain is redesigning its Happy Meals for a short time. Starting October 3, you can snag one of the limited edition treats. Plus, you can take a trip down memory lane as you eat.

The new Happy Meal toys will feature a collection of some old favorites. The fast food chain is bringing back the Hamburgler, Grimace, and Birdie, and the good news is, their design has not changed a bit. But this time, they have a new friend.

Cactus Buddy takes the place of the fourth in the toy lineup. And he is sporting a nostalgic McDonald’s uniform. The idea for this new character stems from a collaboration with the streetwear brand – Cactus Plant Flea Market.

In recent years this iconic streetwear brand became famous thanks to big celebrity names like Pharrell and Kanye West. According to CNN, their hoodies can go for as much as $1,000 on some online marketplaces. The parent company describes its style as a “fluid and eccentric combination” mixed with “playful graphic imagery.”

And this aesthetic fits perfectly with the retro look Mcdonald’s hopes to bring back with their new Happy Meal toys. Even the box was redesigned. It taps into many bygone days that will likely bring happy memories up to the surface.

The move targets adult consumers, who might otherwise consider themselves well past their Happy Meal days. A marketing representative issued a press release stating, “We’re taking one of the most nostalgic McDonald’s experiences and literally repackaging it in a new way that’s hyper-relevant for our adult fans.” They believe partnering with Cactus Plant Flea Market is the perfect way to accomplish this goal.

And they are likely correct in that assumption. McDonald’s credits news of its other recent collaborations with a spike in sales. For example, the incredibly popular Travis Scott promotion resulted in the specially designed meals selling out.

So don’t drag your feet this time. The new Happy Meal toys will likely be a big hit among kids and adults. Just be aware that you have to order a little differently to get them.

Don’t order a standard Happy Meal, or you may end up disappointed. Make sure to ask for a Cactus Plant Flea Market Box. That way, you get an adult-size meal and the fantastic new Happy Meal toys.

The Cactus Plant Flea Market Box offers a choice between a Big Mac and 10-piece chicken McNuggets for the main course. And naturally, what Happy Meal is complete without fries and a drink? You will find your toy inside the nifty retro box.

The new lineup is sure to elicit fond memories. So, whether you have kids to give the Happy Meals toys to or plan to keep them for yourself…get ready to head over to your local golden arches next week. That way, you can snag a set befo
