7-Eleven is seriously stepping up its game with its latest promotion. Customers can now win shoes among a whole host of other cool prizes.

For decades, they have honed its brand image and captured the corner store market. Customers love heading to 7-Eleven to take advantage of their Slurpee selection. But, they also love shopping at the store in general. Pop by any location and the line you find will illustrate the company’s success. Now they have found a clever new way to capitalize on that long-standing success.

One of the reasons 7-Eleven has managed to remain relevant in a growing market is its brilliant marketing campaigns. They are adept at shifting their marketing techniques to match the times. But they also manage to be on the cutting edge of purchasing trends from time to time. Their most recent marketing campaign is one of those moments.

This year, 7-Eleven has announced a unique promotion and string of partnerships. Now, through the rest of the summer, you have the chance to win one of three custom-designed sneakers. While the shoes themselves won’t be available to buy in any store, you only need to shop at a 7-Eleven, Stripes, or Speedway store for your chance to win.

The sneaker giveaway is only part of a much larger promotion, which 7-Eleven dubbed “Brainfreeze Season.” They are collaborating with numerous brands for the promotion, which features new prize giveaways every Friday. You just need to buy one of the participating items. You can complete your purchase either in-store or online using the 7Now delivery app. Each time you buy, you get an entry to the weekly drawing. Some of the participating products include customer favorites like Dunkaroos, Doritos, Big Gulp, Red Bull, Cheetos, and Slurpees. 

With a long list of amazing prizes, the custom sneaker giveaway is definitely one of the best. 7-Eleven collaborated with big-name designers to create three unique sets of shoes. The designs include a nod to Slurpees, one showcasing a Reese’s theme, and a throwback to the iconic mascot, Fred.

Not only is 7-Eleven giving away shoes, but they are also giving away other limited-edition apparel and accessory items during the Brainfreeze Season. According to the company’s announcement, new prizes will be dropped every week. Slowly releasing custom prizes all summer long is a surefire way to keep customers returning for a chance to win.

While not all the prizes are getting announced publicly, the company has hinted at a few of the gems. A few prizes 7-Eleven will release include tickets to music and arts festivals, hoodies, signed merchandise, and gear. So, not only are the prizes pretty amazing, but they make it easy to enter. All summer-long, Slurpee drinks will only cost $1. That means you can get entered to win some pretty high-end prizes just by buying your usual snack….at a fraction of the cost.

The Brainfreeze Season promotion is another example of how 7-Eleven has remained at the top of its game. Giving away customized, branded products ensures their continued leadership in the corner store market. They appear to have their finger on the market pulse and will push other corner stores to try and compete.
