Mobile company AT&T is offering excellent cell phone deals this holiday season. If you have an older phone and need to upgrade to either an iPhone or Samsung Galaxy, then listen up because AT&T is doing offers now that are better than the deals they had on Black Friday.

Currently, it has two excellent offers for new and upgrading users, one for up to $800 off a new Apple device and up to $1,000 off a Samsung device. These offers are only valid if you are trading in your old device and have an unlimited plan with AT&T. AT&T’s unlimited plan is a bill-pay plan that is paid over 36-monthly installments.

During Apple’s release of the new iPhone 14, AT&T increased its discount to $1,000 before scaling it back to $800 over the following weeks after its release. Similarly, they offered $800 off the new Galaxy S22 when it launched earlier this year if you were trading in an older Samsung phone.

To receive the total discount at AT&T, the phone being traded in must be valued at $230 or more. This evaluation would include iPhone 11 Pro Max or any newer models, Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra or any newer Samsung releases, and Googles Pixel 6 Pro.

You could be eligible for a smaller discount if you have an older Apple device like iPhone XS Max or iPhone 11. The smaller discount will work if you have a device worth between $130 to $229. It will work if you want to upgrade your existing phone from a Samsung S20 and S21, along with a number of other Samsung models. Also, several less popular Android handsets can avail of incredible discounts within AT&T.

Older devices such as iPhone 8, SE, XR, and a wide range of Samsung, LG, and Motorola phones can avail of a $350 discount when upgraded to a new phone as long as they are in good condition and valued between $35 and $129.

This discount will also work with the newest iPhones and Samsung releases, but it is unlikely that many people will be trading them in. Something to note is that if you want to leave AT&T before the 36-month contract is up, the balance of the new handset you have bought will have to be paid in full before you are released from your contract.

Regardless of any contractual stipulations, it is still an excellent deal for anyone thinking about changing their handset or buying an incredibly generous gift for their loved one at Christmas.

This year, due to hyperinflation, many companies are extending their Black Friday deals or having early January sales in December to entice people to spend their hard-earned money. While these deals are great, they are only really a bargain if you were thinking about upgrading anyway. Over the harsh economic climate, a lot of families had to tighten their belts this Christmas, so try to spend your money wisely. If you are considering upgrading, AT&T deals are not to be missed.
