Not only do Texans want Ted Cruz out of Texas but it seems as though New Yorkers want him out of their state as well. During a recent sit-down appearance on an episode of The View, Cruz was booed. This came just one day after he was told to “Get out of New York!” And “Go back to Cancun!” at another appearance in New York.

Ted Cruz has been under fire for quite some time and the outcry during his interview on The View is just a drop in the bucket. This outcry comes in the midst of people wanting Ted Cruz to address climate change and be held accountable. New Yorkers are known for their straightforward way of doing things and they definitely did not hold back when it came to voicing their opinions of Ted Cruz.

In February of 2021, Cruz attempted to flee Texas during the height of the Covid 19 pandemic and during the middle of a winter storm. The storm was one of the worst in Texas history and left many citizens without power for days and struggling to survive. Instead of showing up, doing his job of communicating with federal officials, and working to find a solution for the Texans that he represents as a Senator, Ted Cruz pulled a cowardice move and tried to board a flight to Cancun, Mexico.

This left Texans outraged and for good reason. There was a reference to this situation during a recent appearance at a baseball game, just one day prior to the interview on The View, as a member of the audience yelled out for Ted Cruz to just go back to Cancun. Additionally, Ted Cruz was greeted with middle fingers and told to leave New York at a Yankees game.

During his interview on The View, Ted Cruz was speaking about the current inflation crisis that most Americans are being impacted by. The tone in which he was speaking seemed to cause a further divide between Republicans and Democrats. He avoided answering questions and even called audience members “climate radicals.”

Ted Cruz later went on to Tweet about his time on The View stating that they weren’t prepared to hear about hypocrisy from Democrats. Furthermore, he referenced Hillary Clinton, Donald Trump, and our current President Joe Biden. Ted Cruz displayed a huge lack of maturity and an even greater lack of accountability for his role as a Senator.

We are the United States of America, not the Divided States of America. As a US Senator for Texas, he should be working for the best of not only Texans but the entire country as a united union. Ted Cruz was deflecting from hard questions from the panel of The View and not addressing issues that the audience at The View wanted him to address.

The cries from audience members at The View were often cut off by commercials and some were not audible. The hosts of the show did step in and urged the audience members to let them focus on the task at hand, which was interviewing Ted Cruz. With so much controversy and an overall poor display from Ted Cruz, it’s no wonder New Yorkers told him to leave.
