The only thing that is more delicious than a delectable Krispy Kreme doughnut, is a free Krispy Kreme doughnut.

On National Doughnut Day, June 3rd, Krispy Kreme celebrated by giving out free doughnuts to anyone who came through its brick-and-mortar stores. Though this day has come and gone, the pastry company has revealed more opportunities to obtain free doughnuts during the summer months.

Krispy Kreme has been operating for more than 80 years. Founded in 1937 in North Carolina, this doughnut company has stores all over the nation and in several countries worldwide. Krispy Kreme has always found fun ways to give away free or reduced-rate products, which keeps its loyal customer base happy and consistently returning. This summer, if you purchase a dozen of your favorite pastries at a Krispy Kreme shop, you can get an Original Glazed donut for free.

Krispy Kreme has another exciting offer in store for summertime shoppers. From now up until Labor Day, patrons have a chance to win free donuts every single day in June, July, and August. Marketed as the “Sweet New Deal,” customers have a daily shot at getting a free glazed pastry. If the shop has its “Hot Light” turned on, which signifies that fresh doughnuts are being churned out of the glazer, one customer will be able to receive a free doughnut.

You might be asking, when will you know if the Hot Light sign will be turned on? Krispy Kreme will give hints about when the Hot Light will turn on. Check on the company website daily to see when certain stores will remain active with its glazer signal, and if you get to the designated shop on time, you could win a coveted free pastry. Loyal patrons can also download the Hot Light app, which will notify you when stores will have their signals turned on. Not all Krispy Kreme locations will have their Hot Light hours tracked on the app to make things trickier. You’ll just have to show up for some sites and hope that the glazing has just begun.

On top of all these summer promotions, Krispy Kreme brings back a helpful advertisement to alleviate the rising cost of living in America. Titled “Beat the Pump,” this sale was implemented in April when gas prices started to soar exponentially. Every Wednesday, the price for a dozen doughnuts will be reduced to the cost of the American national gas average. The current national average is $4.76 per gallon, significantly reducing Krispy Kreme’s dozen-doughnut standard price. Though the promotion doesn’t technically help with inflated gas costs, it does give customers a guilt-free incentive to purchase more sweets.

Chief Marketing Officer at Krispy Kreme, Dave Skena, stated that the inflation rate had inspired the company’s recent promotions. The Sweet New Deal is a way to “brighten everyone’s day” amongst the pressure of unconquerable gas, food, and housing costs. Though Krispy Kreme prides itself on giving out free doughnuts of any kind on National Doughnut Day, Skena and other team members wanted to help Americans out on more than a single summer day. Throughout the next couple of months, patrons will have unlimited chances to score a free glazed pastry.
