Car shows are coming back after a brief hiatus during the pandemic. In New York, an iconic car expo is being reintroduced to the state. The New York Auto Show, one of the most beloved car shows in the nation, will be returning this spring. From April 15 to April 24, you’ll be able to see brand new, high-class automobiles at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center in Manhatten.

The New York Auto Show will display hundreds of new models from a plethora of car companies, with both ’22 and ’23 models to peruse. There will be plenty of interactive displays for convention goers, including an Electric Vehicle Test Track, where different car brands will have EVs to physically test out. There will also be a Micro Mobility Expo, which will display the most recent, innovative electric transportation.

The New York Auto Show president, Mark Scheinberg, had some words to say about the returning car show. With so much change occurring in the auto industry over the past couple of years, Scheinberg is excited to display the “very best that the industry has to offer” with its Spring 2022 collection. Since the car show was halted when the pandemic began, the auto show hasn’t had a chance to showcase the fascinating, latest innovations from big car brands. With this car show, Scheinberg hopes to catch up with the public on the newest automobiles and electric vehicle trends.

The New York Auto Show takes sustainability seriously, with a whole level of the convention dedicated to electric vehicles this year. This level will feature rows of plug-in electric vehicles, charging solutions, new green technology, and consumer awareness programs. But electric vehicles won’t only be limited to one level. The greener automobiles will also be featured on Level 1 of the Javits Center, where convention-goers can see inventive 3-wheeled and 2-wheeled electric vehicles.

For those wondering why the New York Auto Show incorporates a wide selection of EVs, Scheinberg noted that the change was due to customer demand. “We see a future that’s electric,” stated the car show’s president, indicating the popularity rise of electric vehicles such as Elon Musk’s groundbreaking Tesla. The convention doesn’t just want people to buy these cars, though. The displays will also have information surrounding electric vehicles and sustainability, hoping to educate the public about how these cleaner-energy cars operate.

Those attending the New York Auto Show will have a chance to test out these electric vehicles themselves on the Electric Vehicle Test Track. You won’t have to worry about driving these cars yourself; A professional driver will be taking you around the track and letting you immerse yourself in the full experience of the latest electric vehicles. EV features like rapid acceleration, speed, quiet ride, and more will be showcased during each test drive. After the drive, informative displays will appear highlighting key information about EVs’ simplicity and efficiency.

For fans of the automotive industry, an integral convention has finally returned to New York City. Especially if you’re a fan of electric vehicles, the New York Auto Show is certainly not the car show to miss.
